Lawrence Lessig is the Jack N. and Lillian R. Berkman Professor for Entrepreneurial Legal Studies at Harvard Law School's Berkman Center for Internet & Society. Professor Lessig's writings are notable for his visionary approach, and his legal briefs are available on his website along with a host of his influential writings on the laws governing cyberspace and software. Professor Lessig gained attention when Judge Thomas Jackson appointed him as special master to hear factual issues in the U.S. v. Microsoft anti-trust litigation. Although the appointment successfully challenged in a special appeal, Lessig continued to advise the court in that case through "friend of the court" briefs.
